Grace Hayworth was a pioneer business owner in Georgia during the 1950’s. Her early life was marked by adversity from which grew a quiet strength and ongoing resilience. She viewed challenges as a pathway to care for others in her community. She looked past people’s faults and inspired them to never give up and move forward. She embraced the lives of all people she encountered with dignity and respect and often spoke of the power of forgiveness and acceptance. Generations of Grace’s family recall that Hope was the key to her daily life. Her cornerstone beliefs included: Show appreciation for others and they will see their own value; and, think before you speak. To this day, Grace’s family remember with wonder and gratitude: She inspired others to do the right thing for their families and people in our communities.
The Grace Hayworth Foundation is committed to empowering the forward momentum of people overcoming addiction through safe living spaces, purposeful recovery programs and entrepreneurial skills development.
"One year ago, before I entered Freedom Arch through the kindness of an anonymous donor, my life could be described in 1 word: desolation. I was told to "Stay Forward & you will know a new freedom and a new happiness". That is my reality today. Everything is beyond my expectations & my life is filled with purpose."
